A girl from Texas told me she had just been robbed – $60 were stollen from her. She was left with nothing but a quarter. And she decided to give me that quarter! She said she had been foolish with the way she was keeping her money, so she accepts the fact that it was stolen as her fault. She was wearing an unusual thing on her necklace – an old key. I thought that was very cool. She got that key when she was 7 years old and she doesn’t know what it opens. I told her maybe it’s the key to her heart. She likes NYC and dreams of moving here. So I told her maybe it’s the key to her NYC apartment :)

I had a bad incident with 2 hip-hop dancers who wanted to kick me out of my spot. They said they’d be back at 3pm, but luckily they didn’t. 2 other groups of hip-hop dancers came by, but they were very nice. One kid was doing lyrical movement improvisation to my music for a few minutes. He was really talented.

Then Yaz band (from Japan) showed up for their spot. They are so nice. their drummer also played earlier today at this spot with Andean Fusion. It was funny how their leader, Juan, introduced the Japanese drummer as hailing from the Andie mountains of Japan… (all the other group members are from South America).
